Apple pie with sugar crust


 Apple pie

Ingredients for the dough:

250 g butter(or lard)

450 g flour

a pinch of salt

10 tablespoons sugar

1 pack baking powder (7 g)

6 tablespoons water (milk)

2 eggs


Ingredients for the apple sauce:

Sliced apples

Sugar -as much as you like,you have to make the taste test.

Lemon juice -about one lemon.You have to taste this as well.It has to be a balanced taste,not to sweet not to sour.

Cinnamon if you like it.


Making the dough:
In a large bowl put your flour and make a hole in the middle.Pour you water,melted butter,eggs,sugar,salt and baking powder and mix it into a dough.It has to be a non sticky dough.
Cut it in half and spread it as large as your tray.
Meanwhile put your apples on the stove with the sugar and lemon.Let it cook for about 30 minute,stirring from time to time.After 30 minutes add your cinnamon and start blending.Let it on the stove for about 10 minutes and it's ready.
Pour your apples on top of the first layer of dough,spread it well and the cover with the other layer.Poke the layers with a fork.
Bake at 180 C until a bit golden on the sides.Add a bit of flavored vanilla sugar on top and stick it into the oven again,untill the sugar melts.
